_space to Grow!
Our five year plan is to extend the _space offer across the UK. We believe we can achieve this with five regional bases. Currently, we operate within the North East and Cumbria region and the Yorkshire and Humberside Region. Our latest office has opened to extend our reach to within the North West region.
Our new regional base for the North West is located at Lowry Plaza on Salford Quays; part of a major regeneration area that will be home to BBC’s Media City. It officially opened on August 1st and is looking for new opportunities whilst also playing a key part in delivering some major contracts for the company, including the multi-million pound Salford and Knowsley BSF schemes.
Having a presence in Manchester builds upon our commitment to be part of the communities in which we operate, and opening an office here will allow us to deliver other projects that we have committed to across the region. It ensures that we are accessible to the decision makers in the North West and we view this as something of vital importance.
_space’s Chief Executive, Rob Charlton, said of the new office: “We chose the Salford Quays area for several reasons. It is well-placed to access Central Manchester and it is part of the regeneration zone in that area, giving us the potential to grow and develop at the same time as this buoyant market. The area also offers some very high quality resources which we hope to take advantage of, and we have been keen to have a presence in the North West for some time.
The location also is also appropriate to our sustainability objective; the office is easily accessible by public transport and the tram system connects us to Manchester Piccadilly, meaning that our people can travel between our offices quickly and efficiently. By positioning ourselves as part of a developing community, we can work towards creating spaces that are sustainable, something we are very passionate about.”
