Responsibility
The ethos of _space is not only to work within our communities but also to be involved with them. We take our responsibilities very seriously and are passionate about making a contribution. Every year our team are involved In a wide and varied range of activities, from fund raising events through to working within schools or even refurbishing community facilities.
Every year our people select a charity to support and for the last two years we have been working closely with Children North East. We carry out a broad range of fund raising events ranging from our annual Black and Gold Ball through to office bingo. Last year we raised £40,000 which will make a huge difference to the excellent work the charity do.
In 2008 we are targeting £50,000 with even more events and initiatives so we can help even more Children across the North East.
As well as raising money we also feel it is important to give our time. We work closely with many of the schools we are involved with as well as Young Enterprise North East and Construction Skills. We are staging the first _space to think differently challenge in 2008 and it will be the fifth year of the Construction Enterprise Challenge.
As we grow as a business and our geographical reach increases we will be launching the _space charitable trust, allowing us to support a broader range of communities.
