Freckleton Health Centre
Our brief for Freckleton Health Centre was to create a new community health centre on an existing site. It comprises two medical practices and extensive Primary Care Trust facilities, including Health Visitors, District Nurses, School Nurses, Dentistry, Podiatry, Audio, Social Services, Health Education, Consulting and Treatment, plus seminar facilities for staff briefing and continuing professional development.
The construction was phased around the demolition of the original health centre. The double height circular drum at the entrance provides a focus for the building and contains two interview rooms, adjacent to the main reception and waiting area.
