RVI Leazes Wing

This major PFI project involved staged demolition and rebuilding of parts of the 1906 Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI), as well as the new build Northern Cancer Centre and Renal Unit, with an additional 800 place multi storey car park at the nearby Freeman Hospital.

The practice was responsible for all enabling and decanting works prior to the main construction phase, as well as work to the many listed buildings affected by the proposals and internal refurbishment of existing buildings.

Work at the Freeman Hospital site also included a new Energy Centre extension to the existing Power House and a new chimney.
