St. Lawrence Road
This scheme is a residential development on a restricted and elevated brownfield site which formerly accommodated a ropeworks and joinery works on the north edge of the Tyne.
The design incorporates a mix of two and three bed apartments in a contemporary design. The four three to five storey apartment blocks are clustered to visually break up the site and provide permeability and views through from the rear of the building to the bank of the Tyne beyond.
A landscaped public right of way and stair punctuate the centre of the scheme providing public access down to the quayside below.
