Close House Mansion and golf course, together with the estate to local business man Graham Wylie in 2004, who renamed the development Close House Country Club and has helped to make it one of the most sought after venues in the North East of England.
_space re-designed the existing Bar and Lounge and designed a new bar within the main function room.
The bars were designed to be modern yet retain a relationship to the existing building. The use of materials within the design was very important and with combining the use of granite, timber, brass and glass the design became a strong visual feature within each of the two rooms.
With the back of house facilities located to the rear of the main bar, an access door was deigned to be hidden into the back wall. To the rear of the bar full height mirrors with suspended glass shelves allowed for displaying various ranges of wines and champagnes, whilst the concealed feature down lighting provided scallops of light to the back display.
